The Lessons we must learn

India is at the cross roads now. We have seen the effects of too much "democracy" and "freedom" that we misuse or abuse, as the case may be. We as a country need to be more disciplined to ensure that we prevent terrorist attacks like the one we had at Mumbai.

We need to be more vigilant and more careful and thus we can ensure that India is a safe place to live for all its citizens.

We need to emerge from being planners and talkers to talk less and do more. That I see as one of our major problems of our country. We are very good planners. But when it comes to substained implementation of out own plans, we fail. We need to change this if we need to improve as a nation.

The root cause of all this is our lack of discipine. We do not care much following simple rules during driving like waiting at sigmals, etc. But when we seem to be in so much of a hurry at traffic signals, do we arrive in meetings on time? We have no qualms in making others wait by not being punctual.

The only solution for us is TO CHANGE. Lets change and be more disciplined and responsible. Let us leave a more prosperous and peaceful India for the next generation. Let us teach them the value of our democracy and freedom.
